Overland Journal

Storytelling / Production

Photography: Rennie Solis + Michael de Wit

Location: Trona Pinnacles, CA

Set against the otherworldly landscape of the Trona Pinnacles in California's high desert, this project was built to capture the spirit of a lone escape into open terrain. Loaded with gear, a '92 Defender 110, and a KTM, the journey unfolded with instinct as the only map. Every frame was crafted to honor the rhythm of movement, stillness, and raw desert beauty, telling a story that felt as honest as it did cinematic. The work came together in a multi-page feature for the Fall issue of Overland Journal, standing as a testament to the kind of storytelling that lives where the road ends.
